Get a Second OpinionI did not grow up planning to be a financial advisor. I grew up understanding what is at stake when a family does not have one.
At 13 years old, I immigrated with my mother from South Africa to the United States. New country. New culture. Everything unfamiliar. It was a difficult adjustment, but we built a life here, and I am grateful for every part of that journey.
A few years later, my family went through a divorce. My mother had not been the primary earner, and suddenly the future felt genuinely uncertain. No financial plan. No roadmap. No one to call. Just a lot of fear about what came next.
I was a teenager watching my family navigate one of life's hardest transitions without the one thing that might have made it manageable: a plan. That experience never left me.
After beginning my career at one of the industry's largest firms, I made the decision to go independent, to build a practice with no compromise between the quality of service and the depth of relationship.
Today, I work primarily with retirees and pre-retirees in the Del Mar and San Diego area. People who have spent decades building real wealth and now want a financial partner who takes that responsibility as seriously as they do. I also work with executives navigating equity compensation and business owners planning for an eventual exit.
What every client has in common: they want someone who knows their whole story. Not just the account balances, but the family dynamics, the goals, the fears, and the legacy they want to leave. Over a decade of serving Southern California families has only reinforced why I built this practice the way I did.
As an independent advisor affiliated with LPL Financial, a Fortune 500 company, I am able to offer the personal attention of a boutique firm and the infrastructure of one of America's most respected financial institutions. For clients with more complex needs, I also have access to a dedicated HNW planning team that can be brought in when your situation calls for it. I keep my client roster intentionally small, not because I have to, but because it is the only way to do this work the right way.
